Strategy
The following strategy is worth memorizing if you really want to win at Let it Ride. Remember from the pay table above that the minimum hand is Tens or better for payout. Because of this, you need to remember that a high card is considered as a card that is 10 or higher.
3 Cards, Let it Ride if:
- A paying hand (at least a pair of 10s or better)
- Any three cards that are part of a royal flush
- One high card and four that are part of an open straight
- Any three suited cards excluding A, 2, 3 and 2,3,4
- High card, a gap, and three cards to a straight flush
- Two high cards, two gaps, and three cards to a straight flush
4 Cards, Let it Ride if:
- Paying hand, constitutes a pair of 10s or better.
- A high card and 4 cards to an open end straight
- Four cards to a flush
- No high cards and four to an open end straight
- 4 high cards to an inside straight
Colluding with Others
It’s not allowed to collude with others in this game, but players frequently do so. If you choose to collude look for cards you need to complete your hand. If you see them then remove part of your bet so you don’t lose as much.
Side Bets (Progressive)
Similar to many other table games Let it Ride has a side bet option with a progressive pot. And, just like with many other games the house edge is higher in the progressive side bet. Look at the table below to understand the progressive side bets and determine if it is a good idea to bet this or not. Many people do simply because they think it is the best way to protect themselves. However, if you check out the house edge on all of the pay tables and hands you will see they are really high.
