How Casinos Detect Card Counters
The pit bosses, also known as the people on the floor of the casino, as well as the surveillance personnel for the casino, are in charge of monitoring players and identifying card counters.

One problem with the card reading technology is that it determines house edge, or player’s edge, on each shuffle. IN cases where the cards have player advantage they may be reshuffled. This ensures the house has the advantage every single time. This can create liability issues and some software systems have devised ways to avoid this from happening.
When a casino has all of this information at their fingertips they must evaluate play variation and accuracy as well as bet variation.
Bet Variation
When it comes to making money card counters know bet variation when they have the edge is their moneymaker. When the player has the edge it is time to increase the bet. After a few hands software can pinpoint a player who is counting cards because the hand and the bets will form a trend. However, players who do not count cards will have no trend in place.
Player Accuracy
