How to Play Live Dealer Blackjack

Monday, April 26th, 2010

Live blackjack that is played on the Internet is just like the blackjack game offline.  The purpose of blackjack is to obtain a card count that is greater than the croupier’s, and secondly, is lesser than twenty one.  With the aid of interactive programs, live blackjack, though it is played on the Internet, involves a dealer who manages the game.  Other than that, it also has a card deck and a set of gamblers playing around the table. Live Dealer Blackjack Make Virtual Blackjack a Thing of the Past

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

The first time that you venture into an online casino and have the pleasure of playing live dealer blackjack, you are going to realize how far online casinos have come in such a very short period of time.  As little as three years ago, you would have had to take a junket to Vegas or Atlantic City to play live blackjack.  Now all you need to do is sign onto your account and you can have a real dealer putting down the cards on your monitor. Live Blackjack is The Evolution of the World’s Most Played Game

Saturday, December 5th, 2009

Various sources have mentioned that blackjack is the most famous casino game not just in America or Europe, but on the planet.  That the blackjack game is very famous is not totally surprising.  After all, the casino game needs luck (obtaining the correct cards, something that does not require ability) and skill (in the way of counting cards or calculating the odds by measuring the low card and high cards at play).  (more…)

Live Dealer Blackjack, Just Like the Real Thing

Thursday, August 13th, 2009

The dealer strips cards from the shoe and deals each player two cards face up. He has one card dealt down and the players get to bet before the dealer gives himself one card face up. The players opt to stay or take a hit. The dealer shows his hole card. If his total is less than seventeen, he has to take a hit. This is exactly like being at a real live casino except this is Live Dealer Blackjack. This is an interactive game with a live dealer on the webcam. A player can interact just like at a table in the casino. (more…)

Blackjack and Card Counting

Tuesday, May 27th, 2008

Card counting has been around in some form since the beginning of card games and it is often seen when playing blackjack today. Many people believe that card counting gives them the competitive edge and that is why they continue to do it when they are playing online and when they are playing in their local casinos. While card counting has been employed for decades by a lot of different players, it is frowned upon by casino personnel. A lot of players think that card counting is illegal, which is not true, but it’s not something that you will find welcomed by other players or casino management.

Is Card Counting Worth the Effort?

Are you one of the many gamblers out there that swears by card counting when playing live blackjack? Even when you have become a truly great card counter it is something that requires effort, so is the effort really worth it? While many think that counting the cards gives them the competitive edge that they need to cash in, the fact is that when you employ these methods you are only gaining a one percent advantage. Is that really worth all of the work that you are putting into counting the cards? Perhaps it is worth it for you, but many realize that it is not worth the energy when they read these statistics.

It is a lot easier to get away with card counting when you play live dealer blackjack online because no one can physically see you as you process the cards in your head. The only thing about card counting online is that you have to be quite quick because you only have a limited amount of time to decide if you want to hit or hold. If you are an avid card counter though, you’ll find that you can do it undetected when you play with online casinos, if for no other reason than no one can see you. A lot of people actually learn the art of card counting when they are online and then take their skills to the casino with them.

If you regularly employ your card counting skills online and you feel that you are successful with them you may head out to your local casino and choose to use them there, as well. You’ll need to be careful because though card counting is not considered illegal, it is not something that the casinos will welcome. In fact, if you are obvious about what you are doing you will soon be greeted by casino management, thanked for your patronage, and then asked to leave. Other casinos will simply move you to another table where card counting measures are stopped in their tracks with the use of a multi deck shoe.

While card counting has been done for ages, it is not something that you can use just anywhere. Even if you are really good, you may be better advised to use these skills when you play online so you don’t upset anyone. When you hit the brick and mortar casinos you may be best advised to let go of the one percent advantage for the evening!
