Canadian Casinos

There are many amazing casinos in Canada, despite it having a much smaller population than the United States. The landmass is larger than the US, but population is only around 1/10th. Despite this, there are some top of the line casinos in Canada.

Alberta Casinos (province)

With a population slightly over 3 million, Alberta is considered one of Canada’s “prairie provinces.” Much of this province is made up by the Rocky Mountains and two of its other calling cards includes pumping oil and outstanding casinos. To play in a casino in Alberta you must be 18.

Calgary Casinos

With a population over 1 million, Calgary is Alberta’s largest city. It is frequently called “Cow Town” and is known to be one of Canada’s nicest cities. There are lots of casinos in Calgary, but only three are really worth visiting. These include Casino Calgary, Elbow River Inn and Casino, and Stampede Casino.

Edmonton City Casinos

Edmonton has a population of 700,000, but there are more than 1 million living in the metropolitan area. This is the capital of Alberta and is home to the world’s largest mall.

St. Albert City Casinos

A suburb in the northwest of Edmonton, St. Albert has the Gold Dust Casino.

British Columbia (province) Casinos

There are more than 4.2 million residents in British Columbia and the majority are in Vancouver. This includes Burnaby, New Westminster, Vancouver, and Richmond.  Rules and licenses in British Columbia are managed by the British Columbia Lottery Commission.  The minimum age to enter a casino is 19 in British Columbia.

Burnaby City Casinos

East of Vancouver, Burnaby has a population close to 200,000 and is located within the Greater Vancouver Regional District.

Coquitlam (city)

Located within Greater Vancouver, Coquitlam has a population of 113,000.

Cranbrook City Casinos

Located in the British Columbia Rockies, Cranbrook has a population of 20,000. It is located just 35 north of the United States’ border and is near the intersection of Highway 3 and Highway 95A.
