No Limit Hold'em

UltimateBet is known for their poker tables so we decided to play no limit hold’em to start with.  The table consisted of ten players and when we joined there were nine of ten players so we filled the table.  The graphics involved in the game are amazing and each seat is labeled with the player that is playing.  The cards are dealt and shown in the middle of the table and things move quite quickly, though not too quickly.  When the dealer is dealing the cards you hear the sound of a shuffle and you know that you need to pay attention.  We decided to observe before we started to bet just to get a hang of the way things are done.

On our first go around we were impressed with our luck as we bet and won 48,000 chips with a pair of jacks.  On our next go around we didn’t have a hand at all and watched on as another player won 30,000 with a two pair.  The next couple hands continued much the same as we couldn’t seem to put together a decent hand but then finally on the fifth go around we were able to win 10,000 with three eights.  We then decided to sit out and just watch others play and we were impressed with the skill and knowledge of all those that were sitting at the table with us.  As we watched those who were still at the table continue to play we realized that UltimateBet really does attract those who know what they are doing when it comes to poker.  You can go to many poker websites on the web and find that many of the people there really do not have that much experience, but that cannot be said for the players

The only note that we have to make about Texas hold’em on UltimateBet is that because it is so popular you may need to wait for a seat at one of the tables during the peak hours.  The wait is usually not long, but players should be aware that there is often a need to wait for a few minutes before a player leaves the room. Not a big deal, but definitely worth noting.
