The rules in playing Live Blackjack may have some complicated aspects, but are, on the whole, quite easy to understand.
In Live Blackjack, players can place their bets on any one, any two, or even all of the three hands available. They can place bets until the dealer calls out that all bets are off. In betting, players should adhere to certain table limits, which specify a minimum and a maximum bet amount. The table limits can differ from one blackjack game to the next. No bets can be placed after the dealer calls out the end of the betting. The existing bets can still be changed after the first cards are dealt.
After the cards are dealt, players will be given the option to improve their count by hitting one or even more cards. During this point, changing bets are also allowed. There are many different ways to bet in a Live Blackjack game. You can either bet through split pairs, or you can double. Splitting pairs, as the term implies, is where you split a pair of two cards with an equal value into two separate hands.

By doubling, you double the amount of your bet in exchange for another card on the hand that you placed the bet on. There is also a bet called insurance, which applies when the dealer’s card is an Ace. However, most blackjack players don’t frequently apply this method.
Whether a player hits or stands, the total card value of his hand determines whether he wins or loses by comparison to the dealer’s hand. In the case of the dealer, he has no choice whether to hit or stand. This is determined for him by a rule. The dealer must hit his cards if his count is less than 17. If his count reaches 17, it still depends on whether the 17 is a soft or a hard 17. A soft 17 is one in which an Ace is valued at 1 or 11, as long as it does not exceed 21. A hard 17, on the other hand, is one in which an Ace is valued at 1 to avoid exceeding 21.

The cards are taken at face value, except for the face cards and the Aces. The face cards are valued at 10, while the aces can either be a 1 or an 11. If you get a total card count of 21 with your first two cards, you get a “blackjack” and can automatically win the round if the dealer’s first card shows no possibility of him getting a blackjack as well. If there is a possibility, your fate is determined by the second card dealt to the dealer. A blackjack is the ultimate winner, naturally, in a Live Blackjack game. It exceeds the value of a three-card 21. All the other bets placed on the winning hand will be paid at 1:1. If, however, your card exceeds 21, it is called a bust, and you automatically lose your bet to the house. As long as the dealer does not also get a blackjack, Live Blackjack pays out at 3:2. In case there is a tie, the bets are considered a push.
Those are the basic rules that surround a game of Live Blackjack. Before you begin playing, it is advisable that you take time to learn the ropes. This will definitely help reduce your chances of making the wrong bets and committing mistakes that can cost you a lot.
